zipLogix™ and RentSpree Expand on Success of their Nationwide Rental Platform 

Newly enhanced zipForm® Plus integration helps agents and brokers streamline the standard rental application process. 

FRASER, Mich. – January 31, 2019 After first teaming up in 2017, zipLogix™ and RentSpree are now expanding their efforts to automate rental transactions. Since launch, the successful integration has benefited thousands of zipForm® Plus users nationwide.

Integrating RentSpree’s online standard rental application & screening platform with zipForm® Plus allows all zipLogix™ users to seamlessly evaluate rental applicants using industry-leading screening reports, all at no cost to the agent or broker.

The integration was expanded early this year in California by digitizing, for the first time ever, the California Association of REALTORS®’ widely used “Application to Rent/Screening Fee” (LRA) form and incorporating it into the online screening process. Additional similar integrations are being discussed.

Other recent improvements associated with the integration include the addition of income, identity, and reference verification technology that effectively creates a completely automated screening process.

Create a Tenant Screening Application from a Transaction (zipForm Edition)

Summary

Describes how to use the RentSpree integration to create a shareable tenant screening application within a transaction.

Context

Use the RentSpree integration when you need to create and share a tenant screening application from within a transaction in the solution.  The benefits of using the integration include:

  • Less time spent screening tenants and managing applications
  • Tenant screening reports are instantly available in the Documents tab of a transaction after applicants submit them
  • Reduces brokerage and client liability by allowing RentSpree to collect necessary information for them, ensuring that information is always handled properly
  • Satisfies clients with a complete application process
  • Agents receive comprehensive reports for each applicant, and can provide them to their clients in a professional, legible, and complete package

If it is your first time using the integration, you are prompted to create your RentSpree account during the application process.   When you use the integration, you are prompted to choose one of your transactions to create the application for.  The information from the transaction is automatically added to the application form, saving you time on data entry.   During the application process, you can select whether you or the applicant pays for the screening report.

You can also select how the screening application is shared with prospective buyer, sellers and/or tenants:

  • Via email directly to one or more specific prospective tenants
  • Via a shareable link that is posted online for any prospective tenants to respond to
  • Printable format for open houses

After you complete the application process, a confirmation email is sent to your email address, and a document is automatically added to the Documents tab of the transaction containing a link to the screening report. 

Note: This application works with any type of transaction, not just lease, or lease-listing

To create a tenant screening application, do the following:

  1. In the global navigation menu, click Transactions
    The list of transactions that are assigned to you opens
  2. Click the transaction you need to send the tenant screening application in regards to
    The details page of the transaction opens on the Summary tab
  3. In the navigation menu, click Marketplace
    The Marketplace page opens and displays a list of existing partners and integrations
  4. In the Rentspree tile, click Send To
    The RentSpree Application Portal popup opens
  5. Follow the prompts to complete the application process
    The application is created
    A confirmation email is sent to the email address associated with your account
    A document is automatically added to the Documents tab of the transaction containing a link to the screening report
    The application can now be shared however you need it to be, such as via email or a link on social media

Partners and integrations better enable Lone Wolf Technologies to provide you with a complete suite of integrated tools for brokerages, agents, and clients.  They expand your current solution to seamlessly and conveniently add the other tools you already know how to use.

You can access the list of available partners and integrations by navigating to Partners in the global navigation bar.  In most cases, you can only access certain functionality, such as activating or claiming accounts from this page.

You can access the list of integrations you are using from the Marketplace tab of a transaction.  This is where the majority of the day-to-day functionality related to the integration is found. 

Certain integrations have additional settings or setup found in the Broker Settings menu, or your personal profile settings.

Enables you to sync transaction and commission information between your Back Office and Transactions – zipForm Edition solutions.

Note: Requires valid Back Office and zipForm Edition credentials as well as valid Lone Wolf account credentials for any agents that use the integration at your brokerage.

Adds the Manage Back Office menu option to the Broker Settings menu that enables you to configure your integration and select which agents can create transactions that sync to Back Office.

Makes the following fields mandatory in a transaction:

  • Offer Date
  • Purchase Price
  • Closing Date
  • Classification
  • Property Type

When a transaction is finalized in Back Office, the following fields cannot be updated in zipForm Edition:

  • Contingencies > Met Date

Integrates and passes information between your various web solutions. Records and then automatically completes routine actions automatically for you.  For example, if you add a document to your DropBox account, you can automatically add the document to your Transaction and then receive an automatic notification in your messenger app.

Creates a setting in your profile settings, enabling you to link your zipForm Edition and Zapier accounts.  Other than this, there are no workflow changes that occur in zipForm Edition.  In Zapier you can then link your account with you zipForm Edition account and begin creating zipForm Edition related workflows in Zapier.
